Oh moon, what do you see?
When you look down on humanity…
Untold destruction of our own race
Our misery orbiting around space
Does anyone hear you when the seas cry out?
Oh sun, what do you see?
As you watch many lifetimes repeat…
The same histories we never learn
Does anyone hear you when the ground is hot?
Oh rock, what do you see?
As we stomp upon you with our feet…
Divisions are hard, our voices loud
Does anyone hear you when the sand is soft?
Oh tree, what do you see?
As we chop you down for more money…
We make paper though it’s hard to breathe
Read papers, transact products, watch TV
Does anyone hear you when the leaves turn brown?
Oh world, what do you see?
When we kill and maim you try and heal…
We claim our love and rip you apart
We wear soft gloves around our iron hearts
Does anyone hear you when the ground crumbles?
