Leaving Ashley Down - Poem

I sit in front of the television
Staring into space
There’s a man talking about some decision
That he really couldn’t face

Upstairs room is bare, bags are packed
But you are not around
You’ve gone away because you lacked
Patience with the sound
of my voice.

Though you didn’t know I was leaving
You didn’t wait to find out
Can’t cope with senseless grieving
And the silence drove me out.

I walk out the door forever
My face dry and soul bare
Realising we’re not together
Knowing how our relationship fared

Middling to worst?
Or the sublime?
Especially when you became mine.
Memories flood me, tears run dry
And the thought of you...
Looking into my room...
Makes me hope that Time
Will heal
my Heart.
Again.

Happy New Year!!! - Blog Post

To all my readers out there - thank you so much for being a part of my adventures. Little did I know that this small blog could reach so many countries far and wide! So, from London, I send you all my love and peace and wish you the very best in 2016.

For me 2015 was unexpected and if you had told me the story of my year at the beginning I wouldn't have believed a word. It's been a year of tears and laughter, of resistance and surrender, of plants and trees, long walks and lunar moments, of friendship and family and friendships transforming into family, of travels and dreams, of walking away and finding anew. There have been hugs and kisses... stories and tales... endings and disappointments... beginnings and blessings... new life and death... Light and shadow and constantly the inner search driving me... relentlessly... onwards... moving me forward. Seeking... Searching for more.

Catch you on the flipside.

Peace xxx

Surface Edge - Poem

Surface Edge

Are my brown eyes too dark?
Do you know what they have to say?
Why is it you think you know
When I choose to look your way?

Always you think you’re right
Always I think I’m through
But we both seem to be undone
By what we think is true

I flood my eyes upon you
I wish you would wash yourself
But you like to choose another truth
Which exist in other realms
Tell me I am not the only one
dancing in this rain
though I am not looking for your shelter
nor your treatment of disdain

But this dam needs rebuilding
there are too many hidden lines
most will be swept by the current
called this inescapable time
that exists in worlds of duality
of which I can’t yet escape
though I’m told its not reality
these bright colours and hard shapes

But what is it you are afraid of?
When you look into the black?
That no light will conquer the surface edge,
that there is no turning back?
