Inner Shaman Adventures - Cacao Ceremony 4

This year has been about transition but September is my month of transformation.

I lie amidst chaos as the seeds I had carefully sown throughout this year start to bud and bloom. Harvest is happening and I am carefully cultivating ripeness in my hands.

A new bike sits beside me, there are boxes around me waiting for their new home and there are tickets to Barcelona and Jersey just waiting to be printed out. My body is becoming accustomed to a raw diet of fruit and vegetables and today I have fasted just to rid myself of further toxins...

What is happening?

On Tuesday I move to my new home in Wimbledon and on Thursday I head to Barcelona. On Friday I will meet a Spanish man who will drive me to Montserrat where I will meet two Shamans who will guide me through my first drink from the cup of enlightenment.

I am willing to go in...

This morning, just before I woke up, I think I saw her. She told me she was waiting for me, that I am ready. I saw a swirl of energy that enveloped me and I awoke feeling excited.

But today... today is my old friend... Cacao.

The Shaman has just returned from the Amazon, glowing, laughing and ready to push us all to our edges and give us the courage to jump off. She asked me, 'What is your intention?' I said, 'I've come to find balance as this week I am moving. Also, this weekend, I am finally going to drink Ayahuasca so I would like Cacao to help prepare me.' Aho. I pull the card, 'Transformation.'

I lay down to journey, happy to be in this space again.

I feel the familiar warmth and nurturing of Cacao but today, as I am empty, she hits my stomach and bowels much more quickly than usual. I felt my body react instantaneously. She told me, 'Fast. Get rid of your toxins. Prepare your body and mind thoroughly for Ayahuasca.' I understood, my body has been detoxing since.

The Shaman asked, 'Who are you?' I asked Cacao, 'Who am I?' She showed me this bubble of energy... then I saw a body which looked like an empty vessel, waiting for the bubble of energy to enter it. When the bubble went inside, the body lit up and started to move. 'You are spirit. Your body is not you, it is only here to house you in this lifetime.' Years of dislike for certain parts of my body seemed useless when I realised how transient a receptacle the body is.


I asked her, 'What does my card mean?'

'This year has been a period of transformation for you. The moment the bells chimed midnight and moved into 2015, deep changes occurred. Your life turned upside down, it was a burden, but you made it into your blessing as you embraced opportunity. Your trust in life has brought you the most wonderful experiences, you will see they will just keep coming, you will see you are going to become very busy so now your challenge will be to maintain boundaries and do what is right for you.'

'Find your balance.'

Out of the journey, I chose the card, 'The Creator' - I can see I am creating transformation in my own life.
